King Charles is plagued by a significant worry concerning Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, according to royal expert Robert Jobson.

The tension between father and son has been evident since Harry quit his royal duties, with accusations against Charles intensifying over time. In Harry and Meghan's Netflix series, Harry accused his father of lying during a critical meeting, and in his memoir "Spare," he claimed Charles prioritised his own interests.

The pair briefly reunited earlier this year following Charles's cancer diagnosis, but did not meet during Harry's recent visit to the UK. Jobson, in his book "Catherine, The Princess of Wales: The Biography," serialised in the Daily Mail, reveals Charles's ongoing concern: "King Charles has let it be known that he'll never shut the door on his second child, though there seems little chance of a meaningful reconciliation for now. The 'Harry problem,' as it's known among Palace staff, continues to plague the King. 'What worries His Majesty, and his top team,' says a Palace official, 'is what is going to happen when all the money runs out.'"

This follows claims that Harry rejected an olive branch from Charles over security concerns, choosing to stay in a hotel rather than a royal residence during his UK visit. Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told OK! magazine: "I find it very hard to buy the argument that Harry wouldn't feel safe in a royal residence. It does rather sound to me like Harry trying to make himself into a victim once again."

Harry's ongoing legal battle with the Home Office over security provisions has added to the strain. His concerns about the safety of his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in the UK have led to limited visits, with Charles meeting his youngest granddaughter only once.
