Demi Lovato and her fiancé, Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes, have introduced their new puppy, Pickle, to their fans. The two-time Grammy nominee shared several photos and a video of Pickle in an Instagram carousel on Sunday, July 28. Lovato captioned the post with "PICKLE 🥒🐶🥹," which Lutes reposted on his Instagram Stories.
The couple recently revealed their new addition with an Instagram Stories snap, stating, "Meet our new son Pickle." In the Instagram carousel, Lovato is seen posing with a towel-wrapped Pickle after a bath. Other photos show Pickle with a pickle-shaped dog toy, staring at himself in a mirror, and cautiously descending a flight of stairs. The final image features Pickle alongside another pup.
Lovato and Lutes, known for their playful spirit, dressed in full-body pickle costumes for Halloween 2023. Lovato captioned a post of their costumes with, "We’re kind of a big dill 🥒."
The arrival of Pickle comes months after the release of Lovato's TV special, "A Very Demi Holiday," where she and Paris Hilton baked dog-friendly cakes. Lovato, a longtime dog lover, shared during the special, "My dogs are such a huge part of the family, obviously, but during the holidays, having them like open presents with us Christmas morning is really cute and sweet."
Lovato has previously mourned the loss of her pets, including her late dog Buddy, who died in a tragic accident in 2015. She honored Buddy with a tattoo on her ankle. Lovato also mourned the deaths of her dogs Bailey in 2019 and Bella in 2021. Reflecting on Bella’s passing, Lovato said, "I know you're playing on the rainbow bridge with Bailey and Buddy right now, and there’s nothing making me happier than realizing you're no longer suffering and in pain."
Lovato and Jutes went public with their relationship in August 2022, and he proposed in December 2023.
