Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has approached the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) seeking bail in 12 cases related to the events of May 9.

Through his lawyer Salman Safdar, Khan has filed applications for post-arrest bail.

Khan's petitions argue that he is on judicial remand for all the cases and claims no recoveries are required from him.

He insists the police cases are malicious and politically motivated, aimed at targeting him for retribution.

The PTI founder is asking the ATC to grant bail for cases including the Jinnah House attack and the arson at Askari Tower.
