The police have registered two cases against leaders and workers of the PTI, including MNA Zartaj Gul and a large number of unknown individuals, for violating Section 144 imposed by the Punjab government.

Choti Police Station SHO Adnan Khalique filed a case against PTI Parliamentary Leader Zartaj Gul, District President Meher Sajjad Hussain Cheena, Akhund Humayun Raza, Advocate Fahim Saeed Chingwani and 20 to 30 unknown individuals under Section 188 for violating Section 144.

The police said they had received information that the leaders were heading with about 125 people towards a farmhouse from Rondha Road in Kot Chutta. A police team reached the spot and warned Zartaj Gul that Section 144 was in force and she could not organise a rally or protest.

She assured the police that they were going to rest at their farmhouse, but instead, they protested outside the place and chanted slogans against the government, demanding the release of PTI founder Imran Khan. A case was registered against them for violating the restriction.

In the second case, Kot Chatta SHO Muhammad Irfan Mustafa received information during patroling that PTI leader Akhlaq Ahmed, Jaffer, Arif, Ramzan and Qari Iftikhar, along about eight unknown individuals were organising a rally with flags on Ghousabad Road despite the imposition of Section 144. A case was registered against them.
