Two shot dead in capital

Two men were gunned down in separate incidents on Saturday, while a 14-year-old boy shot a 16-year-old student inside a mosque in G-6.

According to the police, unidentified assailants shot and killed 17-year-old Kavish in the limits of Kurpa police station. The police have registered a case based on the complaint filed by the victim's mother and started an investigation. The motive behind the killing has yet to be ascertained, they said.

In another incident, 33-year-old Asim Ayub Khan, a resident of Muhalla Krishanpura, Rawalpindi, was killed in Rawat Industrial Estate. The police registered a case against the deceased's friend Hafiz Abdul Latif based on the complaint filed by the deceased's brother, Adil Ayub Khan.

According to the complaint, Asim had visited his friend's house when Hafiz, suspecting an alleged illicit relationship between Asim and his wife, allegedly shot him dead with a pistol. Turnol police station registered a double murder case against Sardar Aslam and Sardar Nasr based on a complaint by Sarfaraz Hussain two days earlier.

Meanwhile, a student named Rana shot and injured another student, Ahmad, while they were inside a mosque in Sector G 6/1 and escaped. The injured was rushed to the Polyclinic Hospital.
