AMTI announces major reshuffle

ABBOTTABAD:

Ayub Medical Teaching Institution (AMTI) Board of Governors (BoG) has implemented major management changes, replacing four senior managers, including the dean of Ayub Medical College and the director of Ayub Teaching Hospital, with immediate effect.

According to separate notifications signed and issued by the AMTI BoG Chairman Dr Abid Jameel, Dr Daud Iqbal, Registrar of Cardiology, has been appointed as the new acting hospital director, replacing Dr Ather Lodhi.

Dr Iqbal will serve for three months or until a full-time director is appointed.

In a similar move, Prof Muhammad Asif Kareem has been relieved of his duties as Acting Dean of Ayub Medical College. Prof Saqib Malik has been appointed as the new Acting CEO for three months or until a full-time dean is appointed.

Additionally, Ehsan Khan has been relieved of his duties as acting finance director of AMTI, and Zeeshan Gul has been appointed as the new acting finance director for three months. Ruksana Waseem has been appointed as the new acting nursing director for three months or until a full-time nursing director is appointed. She replaces Aksa Jalil, who has been relieved of her duties as acting nursing director of Ayub Teaching Hospital.

The statement said these changes have been made following Section 7 and sub-clause (4) of the MTI Reform Act 2015.
