Rebecca Ferguson, known for her roles in "Dune" and "Mission: Impossible," has been cast in Netflix's upcoming "Peaky Blinders" movie. Ferguson will join Cillian Murphy, who reprises his iconic role as Tommy Shelby, the leader of the Birmingham gangster family. Details about Ferguson's character remain undisclosed.

Last month, Deadline exclusively reported that Netflix greenlit a "Peaky Blinders" feature, marking Murphy's return to the franchise. The film will be directed by Tom Harper from a script by series creator Steven Knight. Producers include Caryn Mandabach, Knight, Murphy, and Guy Heeley, with executive producers Harper, David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren, and David Mason. The movie will be produced in association with BBC Film. Knight previously hinted to Deadline that the film's story would be set during World War II, with production expected to commence this year.

Ferguson recently reprised her role as Lady Jessica in Denis Villeneuve’s "Dune: Part Two," which grossed $712 million worldwide. She also starred opposite Tom Cruise in three "Mission: Impossible" films, including last summer’s "Dead Reckoning – Part One." Additionally, Ferguson wrapped production on MGM Studios’ sci-fi thriller "Mercy," alongside Chris Pratt.

Beyond films, Ferguson will star in Kathryn Bigelow’s upcoming untitled feature for Netflix. On television, she stars in and executive produces Apple TV+ drama "Silo," with season 2’s premiere date to be announced soon. Ferguson will also be present at Comic-Con to support the hit sci-fi series. Her other notable credits include "The Greatest Showman," "The Snowman," and "The Girl on the Train."

Ferguson is represented by CAA, Anonymous Content, and Chalcot Square Management.
