Ice Spice has addressed the persistent speculation surrounding her supposed feud with Latto, describing it as an overblown joke.

In a recent Rolling Stone cover story, the 24-year-old rapper dismissed the rumours, asserting that there is no real conflict between them.

Ice Spice stated, “I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her ‘What’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare. It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me.”

The rumours began circulating in early 2023, gaining momentum after Ice Spice released her single “Think U the S--- (Fart)” in January.

Fans interpreted the lyrics as a veiled reference to Latto, particularly lines such as, “I got my foot on they necks, I can't let up / She all on the floor, told her, ‘Get up.’” This was seen as a response to Latto’s song “Put It on the Floor.”

Further tension appeared when Latto previewed her single “Sunday Service,” which some believed contained indirect shots at Ice Spice. In a teaser video, Ice’s music video was visible in the background, which Ice Spice later confirmed in an X Spaces session. Ice Spice remarked, “Seeing that I’m in the back of your weak-ass snippet… I was like, ‘Wait a second — that’s me?’”

Latto also made headlines when she posted a picture of a poop-shaped cake on X in June, captioned “Think I’m the s--- , bitch ?????” Ice Spice responded in her Rolling Stone interview, expressing frustration with the ongoing “joke.”

She remarked, “I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like at this point it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s just not even funny.”

In her recent Billboard cover story, Latto subtly addressed the speculation, suggesting she doesn’t view Ice Spice as a direct rival. She stated, “If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like Imma go tit for tat with. I really don’t mean it as shade. Would she even want to do that?”

Latto concluded that while jabs in music are part of the industry, she doesn’t see the need for a full-blown diss record.
