The Sachal police have registered a case against armed suspects for killing an online bike rider and injuring an employee at the petrol pump near Sachal Ghazi Goth Road, Shahmir Society.
CCTV footage of the petrol pump firing incident has also come to the light, in which the faces of the armed suspects can be seen clearly.
Online bike rider, 25-year-0ld Zeeshan son of Allah Wasaio was killed and the pump employee Umair Ali was injured in firing by the armed assailants at a petrol pump in the Sachal police station area.
A case has been filed by Riaz Ali, the father-in-law of the deceased Zeeshan. An investigation has been initiated against the armed accused. In the CCTV footage, two persons, riding a motorcycle, dressed in kameez-shalwar can be seen and heard verbally abusing the security guard and staff of the pump. Motorcyclists opened fire while fleeing from the scene.
The online bike rider standing in a queue to fill petrol in his two-wheeler was injured seriously and fell on the ground.
The online bike rider was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died during the treatment. The police have started searching for the accused involved in the shooting incident.
Meanwhile, a man, identified as Osama Fareed, has been arrested for allegedly murdering his 24-year-old friend Samra in Allahwala Town, Korangi, police said on Thursday.
The murder occurred within the jurisdiction of Korangi Industrial Area police station. Samra, who was married in 2020 but divorced just three months later, was a progressive woman and had left her home in February 2024, police investigators said.
Her body was discovered inside a flat on July 10. Police registered the case on the complaint of her father, Muhammad Nadeem.
