KARACHI:

Unidentified suspects attacked a Karachi Development Authority (KDA) team in Landhi while they were clearing illegal structures on a plot of land in compliance with court orders on Tuesday.

The mob hurled stones and damaged the windscreens of vehicles belonging to the KDA's Estate and Enforcement team. Police and Rangers personnel used batons to disperse the crowd in response.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the KDA's Estate and Enforcement team arrived at a plot in Landhi's area 89, where structures and shops had not been removed despite court orders.

As the team began demolishing the illegal structures and attempting to vacate the land, a large number of unidentified persons arrived and attacked them with stones, resulting in damage to their vehicles and a motorcycle. The staff also faced physical violence.
