Former US president Donald Trump, while playing a round of golf with professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau, took a playful jab at President Joe Biden.

During the game today, Trump, after sinking a putt, quipped, "You think Biden can do that?" He added sarcastically, "You know, we had an argument about golf...can you believe that?" and laughed.

DeChambeau responded, "Yes, I watch CNN."

The golf outing was part of a "special episode" for DeChambeau's YouTube show, Break 50. DeChambeau, the 2024 US Open winner, announced that Trump, the Republican presidential nominee for the 2024 election, would be featured on his show.

In addition to Trump's appearance, DeChambeau's show pledged to donate $10,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project for every stroke they scored under par.

DeChambeau emphasised that the episode focuses on "golf and giving back to our nation's veterans, not politics."

"A few weeks ago I reached out to both parties’ presidential campaigns and @realDonaldTrump was down for the challenge," DeChambeau posted on X.

"It is an incredible honor to be able to enjoy a round of golf with any sitting or former president, and all have an open invitation to join me for a round of Break 50 anytime."

DeChambeau also expressed support for Trump following an assassination attempt on the former president on July 13 during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

"Violence deserves no place in this world. Praying for President Trump and his family," DeChambeau said in an X post. "Wishing for a speedy recovery."

Trump's participation in the golf show and his light-hearted comments underscore his ongoing presence in both the political and social arenas as he campaigns for the 2024 presidential election.
