Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, the Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, has announced that the planned sit-in protest in Islamabad on July 26 will be peaceful, asserting that the operations of Independent Power Producers (IPPs) will no longer continue. "The people will reclaim their rights from the oppressors," he stated.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Hafiz Naeem emphasised, "Protesting is our constitutional, democratic, and political right. We believe in peaceful political resistance. The public should come out for their rights and support us."

Yesterday, the Jamaat-e-Islami chief had declared that his party's sit-in scheduled for July 26 in Islamabad will persist until their demands are met.

Addressing a trader convention, Hafiz Naeem stated, "Our protest is against the excessive taxes, and the exorbitant increases in petroleum and gas prices."

"We will demand our rights from the imposed government of Form 47 with full force."

Today, Hafiz Naeem criticised the civil-military bureaucracy and retired judges for taking high-ranking positions on contracts. He questioned, "Why should decisions about our country be made by those who have no connection to it?"

He further stated, "The public has always supported the army. The military establishment needs to consider why people are talking."

"The opinion of the masses must be acknowledged, and imposing restrictions on social media is not the solution to the problems."

The Jamaat-e-Islami leader further said, "The voices of the youth cannot be suppressed. We need to live here with full dignity."

"The current government has no credibility internationally. The institutions must adhere to the Constitution for the country to progress. Rulers imposed through rigging have no respect."

Hafiz Naeem concluded by urging for recognition of the people's will and called for an end to corruption and mismanagement that harms the nation's progress.
