The likely Democratic presidential nominee has incorporated references to the album throughout her campaign's account and has renamed her profile to Kamala HQ.

Her rebranding follows Charli's show of support, as she tweeted "kamala IS brat" shortly after President Joe Biden announced his exit from the presidential race and endorsed his vice-president.

By Monday morning, Ms. Harris had capitalized on Charli's endorsement, updating her account with a new lime green photo inspired by the Brat album cover.

"Brat" is Charli's sixth studio album, and her tweet supporting Vice-President Harris garnered nearly nine million views within just four hours.

The album cover features a lime green square with the word "brat" centered in a low-resolution Arial font.

Charli explained on the BBC's Sidetracked podcast that "brat" embodies a character who might carry "a pack of cigs, a Bic lighter and a strappy white top with no bra".

Some pop critics have viewed it as a rejection of the "clean girl" aesthetic popularized on TikTok, which promoted a polished ideal of femininity, in favor of a more hedonistic and rebellious attitude.

Charli described it on social media as being like “that girl who is a little messy and likes to party and maybe says some dumb things some times.”

“Who feels like herself but maybe also has a breakdown. But kind of like parties through it, is very honest, very blunt. A little bit volatile. Like, does dumb things. But it’s brat. You’re brat. That’s brat.”

The #bratsummer trend has amassed nearly one million posts on TikTok, with thousands of people and businesses adopting the lime green theme.

Recently, as pressure mounted on President Biden to withdraw from the race due to several public missteps, Ms. Harris' supporters have been creating videos that blend her speeches with music from Charli's album.

One of the latest viral videos features Ms. Harris recounting a story about her mother at a White House event in 2023.

She shared: "My mother used to - she would give us a hard time sometimes, and she would say to us, ‘I don’t know what’s wrong with you young people. You think you just fell out of a coconut tree?'

"You exist in the context of all in which you live and what came before you."

The vice-president’s supporters are currently sharing memes featuring coconut trees.
