David Arquette recently shared details of an uncomfortable interaction with Lala Kent while working on the 2020 satirical horror film, 'Spree.'

Appearing on Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, July 21, the Scream star, 52, recounted his experiences meeting the Vanderpump Rules personality.

Although Arquette "didn't really have any scenes with her," he mentioned that they "met a couple times at the screenings and stuff," and described Kent as "not the friendliest."

He added, "She gave me a little attitude. I felt a little attitude, know what I’m saying? I wasn’t trying to give attitude. I was like, ‘Why am I getting attitude?'”

Host Andy Cohen humorously asked if the interaction made Arquette "feel like you were on Vanderpump Rules," to which Arquette responded that Kent's demeanor was "exactly" as portrayed on the show.

The day after Arquette's comments, Kent addressed the incident on her Instagram Stories. "I apologize if I was not friendly to you on the set of Spree," she wrote, tagging Arquette.

"I'd like to point out I was on set with many people, you being one of them, who are well known, established actors. I am a girl on reality TV. I felt intimidated and a bit like I did not belong, all while being incredibly grateful for the opportunity. I'm very sorry if that came off as an attitude. It was not my intent."

The film 'Spree' centers on a rideshare driver, played by Joe Keery, who resorts to extreme measures to gain online fame. Besides Arquette, Kent, and Keery, the cast includes Sasheer Zamata, Mischa Barton, Frankie Grande, among others.

During his appearance on WWHL, Arquette also addressed the possibility of his character returning in Scream 7. When asked about reprising his role, Arquette said, "I don't think so — I mean, I don't know! I guess there's a chance, but I haven't gotten any calls or anything."

He further mentioned that returning star Neve Campbell had not shared any details about the upcoming movie with him. Following the success of Scream VI, which had the franchise's biggest opening weekend in March 2023, a seventh installment was announced in August.

In April 2023, Arquette told Variety he watched the latest film despite his character being killed off in 2022’s Scream. "It was hard for me to do it, but I also knew I wanted to see it," he said, adding, "I loved it... It was sad. I had lots of FOMO."
