Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, persists in a cherished tradition despite undergoing cancer treatment, as she recently captured a new portrait of her son, Prince George, to celebrate his 11th birthday. This heartfelt gesture underscores Middleton's commitment to family and photography amid her ongoing health journey.

The photograph, released directly on social media on George's birthday, reflects Middleton's passion for photography, a hobby she has cultivated over the years. Known for her skill behind the camera, Middleton previously captured Prince Louis' 6th birthday in April and Princess Charlotte's 9th birthday in May.

In a rare public update, Kate Middleton acknowledged her ongoing treatment and expressed gratitude for moments that bring her joy and positivity. "My treatment is ongoing and will continue for several more months," she shared, emphasizing her dedication to engaging in activities that uplift her spirits.

Middleton's dedication to photography extends beyond family milestones; earlier this year, she photographed her husband, Prince William, and their children for Father's Day and William's 42nd birthday celebrations. Her eye for photography is influenced by her background in art history and her role as a patron of the Royal Photographic Society.

The decision to release the birthday portraits on the actual dates, breaking from previous traditions, reflects Middleton's desire for privacy following her cancer diagnosis announcement in March. In a statement then, she requested understanding and space for her family during this challenging period.

After making a public appearance at Trooping the Colour in June, Middleton has scaled back from public engagements, aligning with royal customs of privacy during the summer months. Recent outings include attending Wimbledon with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and sister, Pippa Middleton, while Prince William accompanied Prince George to a sporting event.

Looking ahead, the Wales family anticipates spending a quiet summer at their country residence, Anmer Hall, and possibly visiting Balmoral Castle with King Charles amidst his own health treatments.
