One dead, 50 hospitalised due to extreme heat

A person died due to extreme heat, while five others became unconscious due to severe heat and power crisis in New Saidabad Tehsil.

In the past 24 hours, 50 individuals have been admitted to the hospital due to gastroenteritis and other serious diseases, receiving medical assistance.

The severe heat has exacerbated the electricity crisis, with power outages lasting 12 to 16 hours, causing significant distress and discomfort among the public due to the extreme heat and humidity.

Datal Khaskheli from Bakkhar Jamali succumbed to the severe heat, while individuals from various villages, including Rab Nawaz, Shahmir Mari, Ghulam Shar, and Rabeel Shar, lost consciousness. On the other hand, doctors report that, due to the extreme heat and gastroenteritis, 50 people have been hospitalized at PMC over the past 24 hours.
