Kim Cattrall has officially dismissed rumours about her return to "And Just Like That…".
In response to speculation on X regarding her involvement in the upcoming season of Max's "Sex and the City" sequel, Cattrall clarified, “Aw that’s so kind but I’m not.”
The speculation began earlier this month when Life & Style suggested that Cattrall might have a significant role in Season 3, with an insider claiming that the show was "just waiting for the right time to announce it."
TVLine has contacted Max for further comment on Cattrall's statement. Cattrall was notably absent from the original cast of "And Just Like That…" when it premiered on Max in 2021, although her former co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis returned.
The first season addressed Samantha's absence by explaining she had relocated to London and lost contact with her friends after a falling out with Carrie. Despite this, the characters briefly reconnected in the Season 1 finale via text.
In the Season 2 finale, Cattrall did make a brief appearance, with Samantha calling Carrie from London to inform her that she could not attend the farewell dinner due to a delayed flight.
Samantha had been updated on the event by Miranda and Charlotte and intended to surprise Carrie. "Miranda and Charlotte told me all about it. I was going to surprise you!" she said.
"And Just Like That…" is scheduled to return for its third season in 2025.
