A police constable was killed when unidentified terrorists attacked a police post with a sniper rifle on the outskirts of Peshawar Saturday night.
Police Constable Saeedullah was deployed at a police post in the jurisdiction of Urmar police station when it was attacked by the terrorists.
“Terrorists used a sniper rifle with a night vision device to target the constable who died on the spot,” said a police official while talking to The Express Tribune, adding that the attackers managed to escape after committing the crime.
Meanwhile the bullet-riddled body of a schoolteacher was found in the Tank district of K-P. He had been kidnapped by the terrorists.
Police said that Mira Jan had been kidnapped by terrorists from Michin Khel village and his body was also found near the village.
Police registered an FIR and launched investigation into the case.
The last rites of the slain police constable were offered at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines with full guard of honour.
