Renowned actor and host of the Pakistani showbiz industry, Faisal Qureshi, has been accused by a YouTuber of not valuing his mother, veteran actress Afshan Qureshi, and allegedly moving her out of his home.
In a recent interview with famed filmmaker Pervez Kaleem, the YouTuber discussed the strained relationship between Faisal and his mother, revealing that Faisal, who was introduced to films at the insistence and recommendation of his mother, did not appreciate her efforts.
The YouTuber claimed that Afshan Qureshi wanted to see her son play hero roles in films and even pleaded with Pervez Kaleem to cast him, adding that the entire media is aware that Faisal Qureshi moved Afshan Qureshi out of his home a year ago.

In response to the YouTuber’s claims, Pervez Kaleem expressed his disappointment, stating that if Faisal Qureshi could not respect his own mother, how could he respect anyone else? Kaleem further said he was shocked by Faisal’s actions, noting that neither he nor Afshan Qureshi, who helped Faisal enter the film industry, were valued by him.
In a previous interview with the same YouTuber, Afshan Qureshi mentioned that she had prayed for her son to become a big star, and her prayers were answered. However, she admitted that she should have also prayed for him to become a good son and a good person, giving the impression that Afshan was upset with her son.
However, an Instagram page mentioned Afshan Qureshi's words from the interview in a post, to which Afshan accused them of spreading false news, writing, "You people never stop spreading fake news. Please refrain from sharing such news about me and my family. Stop using such cheap tactics for views and comments."
The Khaie actor however shared his reaction when the issue first surfaced, saying, “I was laughing a lot when this first came up. I told my mother that she doesn’t have to give a justification to anyone but she did that anyway.”
He added, “I kept laughing. The way people were trolling me, it was as if they’d never been scolded by their mothers. As if their parents have never been mad at them. It was funny but it’s the reality nowadays that on social media, you can turn anything trivial into something huge by editing it. A small comment can be turned on its head.”
