Joe Biden's Covid symptoms improve, campaign says he'll return to trail next week

President Joe Biden's Covid symptoms have improved, according to his doctor, and he is expected to return to the campaign trail next week. Biden's campaign said he will continue to expose Donald Trump's agenda and make the case for his own record and vision for America.

Biden took his fourth dose of Paxlovid this morning and his symptoms, including a loose, non-productive cough and hoarseness, have improved meaningfully from yesterday, said his physician, Kevin O'Connor. Biden's pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and temperature remain normal, and his oxygen saturation is excellent on room air.

The president's campaign released a statement saying Biden will return to the campaign trail next week to continue exposing Trump's Project 2025 agenda and making the case for his own record and vision for America.

Meanwhile, more House Democratic lawmakers are calling for Biden to exit the race. However, Biden's campaign chair, Jen O'Malley Dillon, said on Morning Joe that Biden is still in the race and there are multiple paths to victory.

"We know we've slipped a bit from the debate, and we know the president has to prove to the American people exactly what he believes," she said.
