xQc banned from 'Valorant' for offensive language

Streamer faces temporary ban from 'Valorant' after using offensive language towards a teammate.

Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, a prominent Twitch and Kick streaming personality, revealed that he was banned from ‘Valorant’ after using an offensive term against a teammate. 

Known for his controversial trash talk, xQc admitted that Riot Games took disciplinary action against his ‘Valorant’ account due to comments directed at another player.

The Canadian streamer has a history of provocative behaviour. Early in his Overwatch League career, he faced suspension for making derogatory remarks about a rival’s sexuality. Despite these controversies, Lengyel has risen to prominence in the streaming world, recently signing a $100M contract with Kick.

During a July 17 stream, xQc detailed the incident that led to his ‘Valorant’ ban. “I got chat banned from ‘Valorant’ because I said the R-word,” he confessed. “But I got unbanned.” He explained that a teammate with a lisp was taunting him, prompting Lengyel to retaliate with an offensive comment. “I replied saying, ‘I would rather that and sound like a f**king…’ and I said the R-word,” he recounted, laughing.

This isn’t the first time xQc has faced bans in various games. In 2022, he was banned from the GTA RP server ‘NoPixel’ for spamming 911 pings, and in April 2024, he was banned from a DayZ server merely for being a streamer. Additionally, in May, he admitted to falsely reporting a League of Legends player, leading to an unjustified ban.
