Marvel's upcoming movie "Deadpool & Wolverine" not only promises a plethora of on-screen gags but also features a humorous nod to star Hugh Jackman within its soundtrack. The film, set to hit theaters on July 26, includes a track from the 2017 musical "The Greatest Showman," which starred Jackman.
Ryan Reynolds, returning as Wade Wilson/Deadpool in the highly anticipated R-rated superhero film, announced the soundtrack list on Wednesday. Among popular titles like NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye," Fergie's "Glamorous," and "The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis and the News, the list includes "The Greatest Show," performed by Zac Efron, Zendaya, Keala Settle, and Jackman from "The Greatest Showman."

"If you're down with VanJamz, then I'm with HUGH," Reynolds quipped on Twitter and Instagram while sharing the full soundtrack list. This inclusion plays into Reynolds' ongoing playful "feud" with Jackman. In a previous light-hearted interview with two kid reporters for Yahoo!, Reynolds mocked the title of Jackman's movie. "I know for a fact he's the one who named that movie. The Greatest Showman. Why not just call the movie Super Awesome Hugh Jackman?" Reynolds joked. He added, "I think it's pathetic and disgusting that he called the movie that."
Directed by Shawn Levy, "Deadpool & Wolverine" takes place six years after the events of 2018's "Deadpool 2." The storyline sees Wade Wilson having abandoned his superhero persona to live a mundane life as a used car salesman. However, his life takes a turn when agents from the Time Variant Authority (introduced in the Disney+ series "Loki") arrive to recruit him for a mission from their boss, Mr. Paradox (Matthew Macfadyen).
This mission propels Wade through various realities of the Marvel multiverse, where he encounters a version of Wolverine (Jackman) from a parallel dimension. The film also stars Emma Corrin as villain Cassandra Nova, with appearances from past X-Men characters like Aaron Stanford's Pyro and Tyler Mane's Sabretooth.
