Karachi breaks record for hottest July night as temperatures soars to 32.5°C
The hottest night of July in Karachi has set a new record with a minimum temperature of 32.5 degrees Celsius.
This surpasses the previous records set on July 1st and 17th, where temperatures dropped to a minimum of 32 degrees Celsius.
Earlier on July 17, the minimum temperature in the city reached 32 degrees Celsius, marking the highest nighttime temperature ever recorded in July for Karachi.

In comparison, July's lowest temperature in 2021 and 2022 had been 31 degrees Celsius, according to meteorological department records.
The Met department reported that Karachi is experiencing coastal winds, which are expected to reduce the intensity of heat but maintain warm and humid conditions.
Today, the port city is likely to be 2 to 4 degrees Celsius cooler than the past two days, with temperatures possibly reaching up to 37 degrees Celsius and the anticipation of rain in the outskirts.
