The persistent disparity between the supply and demand of milk has continued to distress citizens for the third consecutive day in Hyderabad.
Despite standing in long queues throughout the scorching heat, some managed to purchase milk while others returned disappointed.
Meanwhile, dairy owners attribute the shortage to increased consumption during Muharram for distribuion at sabeels and majalis, which has caused a sudden surge in demand.
On the Muharram 9, citizens queued up at milk shops across the city. With milk deliveries arriving in the morning and evening, buyers formed long lines outside the shops, leading to milk running out prematurely in various locations on Tuesday. Many residents returned home disappointed after waiting for hours to purchase milk.
