Girl killed as car overturns

A girl died and two other people were injured after a car overturned reportedly because of speeding on Sahianwala motorway.

The injured were shifted to a hospital by a rescue team after first aid.

According to rescue workers, the driver of the car going from Jhumra lost control over it due to speeding.

The car veered into fields along the rad also overturning.

As a result, 20-year-old Muqaddas Bibi died on the spot, while 23-year-old Fariha and her 25-year-old husband Umar Farooq were injured.

The police handed over the body to the heirs of the deceased. In another incident, a youth allegedly attempted suicide by consuming poison over a domestic dispute.

He was shifted to the Allied Hospital, where his condition was stated to be critical.

According to sources, Rizwan, a resident of Jhang Road, consumed poisonous pills after a domestic dispute and was admitted to Surgical Emergency Ward of the Allied Hospital-I, where doctors said they were trying to save his life.
