The Rawalpindi Police implemented strict security arrangements to ensure the safety of the main mourning procession on the 7th of Muharram.

The procession began at the residence of Sain Sadiq and reached the old Imam Bargah near Fajr prayers on Monday, traversing through traditional routes.

Advisor on Political Affairs to Chief Minister Punjab, Zeeshan Malik, and Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner, Hassan Waqar Cheema, also visited the procession. He said the chief minister had given explicit instructions to ensure ideal arrangements for Muharram processions.
