The Islamabad High Court (IHC) permitted Sanam Javed to return home on Sunday and has ordered the police not to arrest her until Thursday, warning that if she speaks a single word during this period, the court will revoke its order.
According to Express News, Sanam Javed’s father approached the IHC for her release, leading to a hearing presided over by Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb. Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq appeared before the court.
Sanam’s father requested that the court order her release from illegal detention and her presentation before the IHC. He argued for details of the cases against her to be provided and for any proceedings against her to be halted.
In his petition, Sanam’s father named the federal government, FIA, IG Islamabad, and others as respondents, asking the court to declare her detention or abduction illegal.

The IHC prohibited taking Sanam out of Islamabad and ordered her to be presented before the court by 5:30 PM. The court also summoned IG Islamabad and DG FIA to appear personally in the evening. At 5:30 PM, the police presented her before the court while IG Islamabad was also in attendance.
The court ordered the submission of a complete one-year record against Sanam, allowing her to return home and halting her arrest until Thursday. The court warned that if she speaks a single word during this period, it will revoke its order. Additionally, she is not allowed to leave the jurisdiction of Islamabad until Thursday.
It must be noted that Sanam's series of arrests continued even after her release from various courts. A district and sessions court had rejected the FIA's request for her physical remand and ordered her release the previous day.
Immediately after her release from Gujranwala jail, Islamabad police arrested her and handed her over to Balochistan police, who were taking her to Quetta. However, the High Court had prohibited taking Sanam out of Islamabad.
