In an interview with the New York Post, former President Donald Trump confirmed that a chunk of his ear is missing following the July 13, 2024, shooting incident at his campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania.
Trump, protected by a white bandage over his ear, detailed his injuries, including a large bruise on his forearm from hitting the ground. "They took him out with one shot right between the eyes. They did a fantastic job," Trump said, praising the Secret Service for their swift action.

Trump revealed that he was hit so hard by the Secret Service rushing to protect him that his shoes fell off. Despite wanting to continue speaking, he had to leave the stage.
The shooting by Thomas Matthew Crooks resulted in the death of Corey Comperatore and injuries to two other attendees.
Trump announced his intention to attend Comperatore's funeral and commended the rally attendees for staying calm, stating, "I love them. They are such great people."
The FBI is investigating the incident, with Crooks' motives still unknown.
