KARACHI:

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued former captain Javed Miandad a show-cause notice for speaking against the board’s policies despite being on its payroll.

Miandad, the PCB’s Director cricket affairs, criticised the board’s policies in an interview, saying that 90 per cent of decisions the board has taken during its tenure have proved wrong. He also claimed the poor running of cricket affairs by the current management was spoiling the sport.

A PCB official confirmed to The Express Tribune that the board has sent a notice to the former captain for his remarks.

“We have sought explanation from Miandad for his statement against board which is contrary to clauses in his contract,” said the official.

Pakistan Cricket Board has become the holiest of the holy cows. No one can raise a finger or else the finger is chopped. What a shame. A de-capacitated Chairman has made every one a hostage to his psychosis. Every now and then he is kicking players. People do not pay for the tickets nor does the companies pay for the TV commercials to see a swollen, beaten misused big Butt of Butt. There is a requirement of a big bull to straighten out this holy cow. Probably his madness can be cured by a suo moto action of the Judiciary.
