Eminem's latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coupe de Grâce), has stirred up controversy with its opening track "Renaissance." The song features Slim Shady name-dropping several prominent rappers, including Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, and Kanye West, leading some fans to believe they were being dissed.

The lyrics in question state: "'Cause I don't see no fans, all I see's a bunch of complainers/'Kendrick's album was cool, but it didn't have any bangers'/'Wayne's album or Ye's, couldn't tell you which one was lamer.'"

However, a closer examination of the lyrics reveals that Eminem is speaking from the perspective of a hater, criticizing the mentioned artists. He is not expressing his own opinions but rather embodying the voice of those who find fault in everything.

While Kendrick, Wayne, and Ye seem to be safe from Eminem's lyrical wrath, Ja Rule is not so lucky, as he catches a stray on the song "Guilty Conscience 2."

Eminem's new album has sparked debate and discussion among fans, showcasing his ability to create controversy and ignite conversations within the hip-hop community.
