Starz has unveiled the trailer for its upcoming series "Three Women," based on Lisa Taddeo's acclaimed 2019 book.

Scheduled to premiere on Friday, Sept. 13, the 10-episode drama delves into the complexities of female desire through intertwining narratives.

The series features an ensemble cast including Shailene Woodley, DeWanda Wise, Betty Gilpin, and Gabrielle Creevy. Gilpin portrays Lina, a suburban homemaker in Indiana navigating a passionless marriage until an affair consumes her life.

Wise takes on the role of Sloane, an entrepreneur in a committed open marriage with Richard (Blair Underwood). Meanwhile, Creevy plays Maggie, a student in North Dakota grappling with the aftermath of accusing her English teacher (Jason Ralph) of misconduct.

Woodley stars as Gia, a grieving writer who convinces each woman to share her story, serving as the narrator throughout the series.

"More than I wanted to tell their stories, I wanted to hear them myself," Woodley remarks in the trailer, emphasizing the importance of listening and understanding.

Lisa Taddeo, the author behind the book, recently reflected on the adaptation, expressing nerves about seeing Lina's story portrayed on screen.

In an Instagram post earlier this week, Taddeo assured fans that Betty Gilpin's portrayal stays true to the essence of Lina's character from the book.
