Eminem sues Real Housewives of Potomac stars over "Reasonably Shady" trademark

Rapper Eminem has reportedly filed a lawsuit against Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon, stars of Bravo's Real Housewives of Potomac, over their use of the name "Reasonably Shady" for their podcast and merchandise line. Eminem claims that the name infringes on his own trademarks, "Shady," "Shady Limited," and "Slim Shady," which he has owned and used for years.

The lawsuit, according to In Touch Weekly alleges that the use of "Reasonably Shady" could confuse consumers and imply a connection to Eminem's brand, potentially leading to false endorsement claims. Eminem's legal team argues that the names are too similar in appearance, sound, and commercial impression, and that the use of "Reasonably Shady" could damage his reputation and goodwill.

Bryant and Dixon have countered that their brand would not suggest any association with Eminem. However, Eminem's attorney maintains that his manager, Paul Rosenberg, who has worked with the rapper since 1997, would be a more suitable witness for the case due to his extensive knowledge of Eminem's brand and marketing.
