Netflix has released the first trailer for "The Perfect Couple," a murder mystery series based on Elin Hilderbrand's bestselling novel. The star-studded cast includes Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Meghann Fahy, Eve Hewson, Dakota Fanning, Ishaan Khatter, Billy Howle, and Jack Reynor.
The series follows Amelia Sacks (Hewson) as she prepares to marry into a wealthy Nantucket family. However, her lavish wedding, orchestrated by her future mother-in-law Greer Garrison Winbury (Kidman), takes a dark turn when a body is discovered on the beach. Suddenly, suspicion falls upon the wedding guests as secrets begin to unravel.
With the investigation underway, the story unfolds like one of Greer's novels, blurring the lines between fiction and reality. Susanne Bier, known for directing "Bird Box," helms all six episodes and executive produces alongside showrunner Jenna Lamia ("Good Girls"). Shawn Levy, Gail Berman, Hend Baghdady, Nicole Kidman, Per Saari, and Josh Barry also serve as executive producers.
