‘Mugger’ killed in dramatic shootout at flower market

A suspected robber was killed and his accomplice injured in a dramatic shootout during an attempted robbery at a flower shop in Teen Hatti Flower Market on Thursday.

As per details, two suspected armed muggers on a motorcycle entered a flower shop on Jahangir Road in Teen Hatti Flower Market to rob it. Shopkeeper Muhammad Wajid confronted them by opening fire.

The muggers fired back at Wajib and a firefight ensued in which one of the suspects was fatally wounded, while his accomplice sustained injuries.

Alerted by the gunfire, police rushed to the scene and took both the injured and dead suspects into custody. They were subsequently shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment and identification.

Police recovered a cache of stolen items, including 125 motorcycles, stolen mobile phones, and cash from the suspects. This discovery suggests a possible link to other criminal activities in the area. Syed Najamul Hasan, President of the Flower Market Union, voiced concern over the increasing frequency of robberies in the area.
