Where's the beef? Florida man steals nearly $600 worth of meat

A Florida man is wanted for allegedly stealing $597.26 worth of meat from a local Publix in Fort Myers, Florida.

A Florida man is being sought by authorities for allegedly stealing nearly $600 worth of meat products from a Publix supermarket in Fort Myers. 

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, the man was seen at the Publix on Palm Beach Boulevard, where he reportedly stole $597.26 worth of meat on two separate occasions: June 22 and June 29. 

The suspect was observed leaving the store in a 2009 Toyota Camry. Authorities have urged anyone who recognizes the man or has information about the thefts to contact Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-8477.

The chain operates throughout the Southeastern United States, with numerous locations in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and Kentucky.

Officials are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the suspect to prevent further thefts and ensure community safety.
