Fans of the much-loved Shrek series have reason to rejoice: production for Shrek 5 is currently underway.

Eddie Murphy, known for voicing the beloved comedic character Donkey since 2001, hinted at the project in June 2024, even though DreamWorks Animation has not formally confirmed the film.
