Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's upcoming visit to Canada for the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler in February 2025 has raised concerns among senior aides about a potential Commonwealth crisis.

According to OK! Magazine, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's past comments criticising the association of 56 member states have sparked numerous discussions within Palace walls on managing their connection to Canada.

"Harry and Meghan haven't exactly been very supportive in the past," a source told OK! Magazine. The trip is seen as highly significant, with fears that any negative remarks about the union during their visit could jeopardise the Commonwealth.

"It's even been discussed that it might be beneficial to get Harry and Meghan back on side in case there are any incidents that occur while they are promoting the Invictus Games," reports the Express.

The couple, who moved to Canada in 2020 before relocating to Montecito, California, have previously shown interest in taking on semi-official roles within the Commonwealth, but those plans never materialised.
