Two terrorists killed, one soldier martyred in North Waziristan: ISPR

24-year-old Captain Muhammad Osama bin Arshad was leading the operation and embraced martyrdom during a fire exchange

A fire exchange took place between security forces and terrorists in North Waziristan district on Tuesday, the military's media wing reported.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the fierce engagement, Pakistani troops effectively engaged the terrorists' location, as result of which two terrorists were killed.

However, leading his troops from the front, Captain Muhammad Osama bin Arshad, aged 24 and a resident of Rawalpindi, having fought gallantly, was martyred in the line of duty.

The ISPR stated that sanitisation operation is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area. "Security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve," the statement added.
