LeBron James Reflects on unique achievement as he and son Bronny prepare to make NBA history

In a heartfelt interview with Craig Melvin on Today, LeBron James shared his profound emotions following recent milestones in his career and family life.

The basketball icon, who recently committed to re-signing with the Los Angeles Lakers, expressed his immense pride in an unprecedented achievement: both he and his 19-year-old son, Bronny James, will soon play for the same NBA team.

"From a basketball perspective, this is the greatest accomplishment of my life," remarked LeBron, 39, during the interview. "I've achieved a lot individually, but nothing compares to sharing the court with my son."

Bronny, selected by the Lakers as the 55th overall pick in the NBA draft on June 27, will join his father in a historic father-son duo in professional basketball.

The announcement of LeBron's continued commitment to the Lakers came just days later, underscoring the family's significant impact on the franchise.

"This is about legacy," LeBron emphasized in an Instagram post celebrating Bronny's draft selection. The post featured a series of photos and videos capturing their journey together.

 Despite setbacks, Bronny persevered and impressed scouts during pre-draft workouts, reaffirming his determination to forge his own legacy separate from his father's towering influence.

Reflecting on his son's aspirations, LeBron shared, "Bronny has always aimed to establish his own name in basketball. While playing alongside me is incredible, his dream is to carve out his own path and leave a mark in the NBA."
