Fans at Nicki Minaj's Dublin concert are demanding refunds, labeling it "the worst concert ever" due to her late arrival, leaving them waiting in the rain, and a performance lasting less than an hour.
Last night, the American rapper, aged 41, performed at Malahide Castle as part of her “Pink Friday 2 World Tour”, marking her return to the capital for the first time since 2015.
Several fans took to social media to express anger after the singer of hits like "Anaconda" and "Super Bass" arrived an hour and a half late for her concert, leaving attendees waiting in the rain, and then performed for only 45 minutes.
A concertgoer posted on MCD Productions' Facebook page, criticizing the event as "ridiculous," stating they eventually left the venue, convinced that Minaj wouldn't show up.
“There was a man on trying to distract the crowd and waste time and it was so obvious. We asked security at a quarter to 10 was she coming or not and they said nope that they were told she wasn’t so we left,” they shared.
The attendee also remarked, “Then heard she actually did show up after 10… Standing in the lashing rain and she shows up that late for fans!! I want my money back!”
Nicki Minaj previously had to cancel a concert in Amsterdam after being arrested on drug charges
Fans were also upset last month when Nicki Minaj issued her “deepest and most sincere apologies” after canceling her Manchester show abruptly due to her arrest in Amsterdam.
The 41-year-old celebrity was held for hours at Schiphol airport on suspicion of “possessing soft drugs,” fined by Dutch authorities, and allowed to proceed with her travel.
The concert was canceled at 9:30 pm, just as Minaj was expected to take the stage, leaving 20,000 fans inside the venue unaware until they were informed of the cancellation.
