As the cinema buzz still lingers from the success of "Challengers," Luca Guadagnino has swiftly shifted focus to his next project.

Over the weekend, Julia Roberts, Chloë Sevigny, and Ayo Edebiri took to social media to share glimpses from the first day of pre-production for Guadagnino’s upcoming thriller, "After the Hunt," set in London.

Sharing a cast photo, Sevigny captioned her Instagram post, "#backtowork After The Hunt directed by the great Luca Guadagnino," showcasing a dinner rendezvous with the acclaimed director on her Instagram Story. Roberts echoed the sentiment with her own post exclaiming, "Here we go! Luca!!!!!" Edebiri also posted the photo alongside a screenshot of Guadagnino’s text urging her to share it, adding, "After the Hunt #notastory."

The ensemble cast includes Andrew Garfield, Michael Stuhlbarg, Lio Meheil, Ariyan Kassam, and Will Price, who were seen gathered for what appeared to be a table read session.

Written by Nora Garrett, "After the Hunt" delves into the story of a university professor (Roberts) grappling with personal and professional dilemmas after a student accuses a colleague, while her own dark secrets threaten exposure.

Roberts joined the cast in March, when the project landed at Amazon MGM Studios under Imagine Entertainment’s production, led by Brian Grazer and Allan Mandelbaum alongside Guadagnino’s Frenesy banner. Executive production is handled by Garrett and Imagine’s Karen Lunder.

Guadagnino’s previous film, "Challengers," marked a significant milestone in April with a $15 million box office debut, setting records for its star Zendaya alongside Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor.
