Intermittent light and heavy rainfall in Lahore has made the weather quite pleasant, with the mercury dropping by approximately 12 degrees Celsius.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the minimum temperature in Lahore is expected to be 22 degrees Celsius, while the maximum could reach up to 33 degrees Celsius after the rain has reduced the intensity of heat and humidity.
Today, Lahore will experience a mix of sun and clouds, with chances of light to heavy rain at night.
However, the monsoon rain system is expected to move out of Lahore by tomorrow.
Earlier on June 3, it was reported that the relevant departments were gearing up to fulfill their responsibilities during the season but the Lahore district administration and WASA area were facing a shortage of resources, including staff and modern equipment, to adequately cope with the monsoon rains.
Meanwhile, many sewerage pipelines in Lahore have expired and have not been replaced for a long time.
