Jhelum bans entry of 16 firebrand clerics

The district administration of Jhelum has imposed a ban on 16 clerics and preachers from entering the district in order to maintain peace and security in the area.

The banned individuals include Maulana Abdul Hassan Sabri and Zakir Asif Raza from Faisalabad, Zakir Mohsin Abbas from Mandi Bahauddin, Maulana Mohsin Jatoi from Muzaffargarh, Imran Ahmed from Lahore, Maulana Abdul Haq Bashir, Maulvi Abdul Khaliq and Maulana Munir Farooqi from Gujrat, Maulana Akbar Saqi from Talagang, Maulana Masoodur Rehman Usmani and Shabbir Ahmed Usmani from Rawalpindi, Maulana Kalimullah Khushab, Wajid Farooqi and Qari Chin Muhammad from Attock, Omar Javed Qasmi from Sheikhupura and Pir Irfan Shah from Bhakkar Sharif.

These individuals have been banned from entering the district due to their alleged involvement in sectarian and hate speeches.

The step has been taken to ensure the safety and security of the public and to maintain law and order. All relevant institutions have been directed to strictly enforce this order and take immediate action in case of any violation.

The public has also been urged to report any suspicious activity immediately to the administration so that prompt action can be taken.

The public has been requested to cooperate with the administration in maintaining peace and harmony, and promote peace and tolerance in religious gatherings and meetings. The aim is to avoid any kind of provocation and maintain sectarian harmony.
