Notorious bandit, killer of cops shot dead

HYDERABAD:

A bandit allegedly involved in attacks and killings of policemen as well as in kidnappings of the citizens was gunned down during an operation followed by a shoot-out in Kashmore-Kandhkot district on Saturday.

The district's SSP Bashir Brohi claimed that Imdad Bhayo alias Imdu was shot dead in a joint operation by the police and the rangers in a riverine area.

Bhayo's group had allegedly martyred two policemen and injured many in an assault on a police check post on July 3 in the jurisdiction of Durrani Mehar police station in Kashmore-Kandhkot.

The police later shifted the dead to the Civil Hospital. Later, the body was handed over to family of Bhayo after postmortem.
"Bhayo topped the list of dacoits instilling fear among the people," SSP said while talking to the local media.
