SZA opens up about relationship struggles: "I can catch 'em, but I can't keep 'em"
SZA, one of the most desirable women in R&B, recently shared her struggles with keeping men interested on a new episode of Chicken Shop Date, which aired on Friday (July 5).
Host Amanda Dimoldenberg mentioned her difficulty in getting second dates, to which SZA echoed, "I feel like I can catch ’em, but I cannot keep ’em. They get with me and they realize I’m f***ing weird, and then it’s just like, ‘Aight.’"
She humorously added, "The butt makes it seem like it’s normal. On the outside, like, I wanna shake a** and do all the normal things. But I also wanna just, like… I wanna swim in the swamp and I wanna, like, collect methane gas with my man. That’s my type of sh*t."
SZA has been open about her personal life lately, sharing moments outside of music.
Ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics, she met with U.S. gymnast Simone Biles and showcased her gymnastic skills in a video shared on Instagram.
SZA revealed that meeting Biles was a dream come true and reminisced about her own gymnastics career before pursuing music.
"When it was clear to me that I wasn’t gonna be a national gymnast, I was like, ‘Okay, let me see what I can do.’ I needed something to be competitive at," she said.
In the video, SZA and Biles performed a handstand together and backflipped into a foam pit, with SZA exclaiming, "That was fun as shit."
