Rain-related incidents claim three lives

Three people including two minor girls were killed and four including a woman and three children, were injured in different rain-related incidents on Friday. Faisalabad received 47 millimetres (mm) of rain on Friday morning.

The dilapidated roof of the TR Girder on Narwala Road, Jinnah Colony collapsed during the early morning rains in the city. As a result, Madiha Fatima, 2, the daughter of Shahzad, died under the debris. The rescue team reached the spot, extricated the body of the girl, and handed it over to her relatives.

In the second incident, a three-year-old Sawera Iman daughter of Imran died under the debris after the wall of the house collapsed during the rain in Jaranwala Road, Sitara Park City. Her mother Iqra 29-year-old, wife of Imran, suffered injuries in the incident and was transferred to Civil Hospital after medical assistance. The police handed over the body of the minor to the family.
