Marvel’s WandaVision spinoff series Agatha All Along is expected to be "really scary," according to a top studio executive.

Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ head of streaming, television, and animation, shared insights on the “Official Marvel Podcast” via The Playlist, hinting that while Agatha All Along starts off fun, it will soon become quite frightening.

Agatha is really fun, but it’s really scary. And it gets quite dramatic,” Winderbaum teased. “She’s an amazing anti-hero. It lures you in with the fun of Halloween, and before you know it, you’re crying.”

He further added, “It’s a Marvel brand of scary. It’s a Halloween show. There are deadly stakes in this series. It’s a fun ride, but it’s a dangerous one.”

The series’ leading star is Kathryn Hahn, who reprises her Emmy-nominated role as Agatha Harkness, is set to debut on Disney+ on September 18. Plot details remain under wraps.

Hahn is joined by Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Aubrey Plaza, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, and Debra Jo Rupp.

The show continues from where WandaVision left off, with Agatha Harkness (Hahn) being rendered powerless by Scarlet Witch, also known as Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen). The showrunner for WandaVision, Jac Schaeffer, is spearheading the spinoff series.

Winderbaum also touched on the upcoming limited series Daredevil: Born Again, marking the return of Charlie Cox after his brief appearances in MCU projects such as Spider-Man: No Way Home, Echo, and She-Hulk.

“These characters have matured. The universe is different than it was,” Winderbaum explained. “Things have changed. Society has changed. Matt [Murdock] and Wilson [Fisk] have changed, and their characters are going to collide in ways we’ve never seen before. It’s no longer enough to try to murder each other. There’s a whole game of politics at play.”
