Marriyum Aurangzeb announces anti-smog campaign phase 2
Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has announced the commencement of the second phase of an anti-smog campaign, stating that over the next three months, environmental protection laws will be rigorously enforced across various sectors.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Aurangzeb said Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has mandated the strict enforcement of laws under the Smog-Free Punjab vision.

The first phase, spanning three months, focused on providing facilities, technical assistance, and technology to all sectors.

"Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif's vision of a green and smog-free Punjab to eliminate smog, toxic and deadly fumes, and pollution has been started with full force," said Aurangzeb. "If you support us again, smog will be eliminated from Punjab like garbage."

She urged citizens to check their vehicles and factory chimneys, stop using plastic, refrain from burning crop residues, and plant trees.

"Understand your responsibility and play your role. We must unite against smog," she added.
