Lindsay Lohan recently shared her emotional experience of returning to the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, where she once again stepped into the shoes of her iconic role for the upcoming sequel, 'Freaky Friday 2'.

Known for her role as Anna Coleman in the 2003 family comedy, Lohan expressed a deep sense of nostalgia as she reunited with the familiar surroundings that marked significant milestones in her career.

In an interview with Nightline, Lohan reminisced about her enduring bond with co-star Jamie Lee Curtis and the profound impact of returning to the Disney lot.

"You know how they say when you have a best friend or someone you’re really close with? If you can not see them for years and years, but when you see them again, it’s like you never separated," she shared.

For Lohan, stepping onto the Disney lot wasn't just about reprising her role in 'Freaky Friday'. It was a reflection of her journey from 'The Parent Trap' to 'Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen' and beyond.

"So when I got there, I kind of felt like this essence of a little kid again," she revealed, visibly moved by the experience.

The sequel, scheduled for release in 2025, reunites Lohan with Curtis as they explore a new chapter in the body-swap narrative. Directed by Nisha Ganatra and written by Jordan Weiss, the film promises a fresh take on family dynamics as Anna navigates life with a daughter and a stepdaughter.

Joining the cast are Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Manny Jacinto, alongside returning stars Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao.

Lohan, visibly excited about the project, shared behind-the-scenes moments with fans, captioning one clip with "We're back!" Disney has officially announced the sequel's production, marking a significant moment for fans eagerly awaiting the return of the Colemans to the big screen.
