A passenger drugged a rickshaw driver by offering him a beverage, leaving him unconscious before making off with his vehicle in Karachi

The viral footage which started circulating on social media on Tuesday details the events of the crime.

In the video, the suspect, posing as a passenger, boarded the rickshaw and had the driver stop at a predetermined location. They both then stepped out of the rickshaw and sat down.

During this time, the suspected passenger was seen speaking on his mobile phone, instructing the driver to wait. Moments later, an accomplice arrived, delivering a beverage to both the suspect and the driver, and then left.

The video shows that after consuming the drink, the rickshaw driver quickly fell unconscious.

The suspect, initially lying beside the unconscious driver on the pavement, seizes the moment to steal the rickshaw and escape.
